World Public Relations Forum 2020 will be an immersive experience like never before, reflecting on key topics and trends that matter to the global communications community while also drawing on New Zealand’s ingenuity, creativity, and diversity to generate inspiring conversations.

There are currently no changes to the schedule of the WPRF2020 as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak but we are closely monitoring the evolving situation and will provide updates should the forum be impacted.

WPRF2020 is a place for you, the people of our profession, to step forward and hold hard conversations about connecting with courage through the four lenses of conscience, creativity, culture and capability. 

The Forum will challenge you to both think ahead as well as reflect back on your practice.

Alongside listening to inspiring speakers, there will be opportunities to discuss, deliberate, network and enjoy social events. The Forum consists of three programmes below. 

Research & Practice Colloquium 

  • Date: Monday 12 October
  • Format: In a full day of discussions and presentations from researchers, educators and academic thought-leaders from around the world, the Research & Practice Colloquium aims to build a bridge between the academic and practitioner communities.
  • Presentations will focus on:
    • Building authentic relationships
    • The role of ethics and the public interest
    • Communicating across cultures
    • Developments in professional capabilities
    • Creative approaches in public relations strategy
    • Internationalism of the curriculum

The Research & Practice Colloquium invites researchers, educators, students and academic thought-leaders to submit extended abstracts. Submitted abstracts will go through a double-blind review and authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present at the Research & Practice Colloquium. More information is available here

Business Programme

  • Dates:
    • Tuesday 13 October (full day)
    • Wednesday 14 October (full day)
    • Thursday 15 October (half day)
  • Format: The Business Programme speakers, presentations and workshops will explore the theme 'connecting with courage' through the four lenses of conscience, culture, capability and creativity. 
  • Speakers will be local and international leaders drawn from a range of sectors.

Social Programme

Social programme will be released in the coming months and tickets will be available on the registration page.
