Marianne Stigset is Director of Global Engagement and Communications at EAT, a non-profit organization working with scientists, politicians, business leaders, chefs, innovators and change makers to create a healthy and sustainable global food system.
Marianne has over 15 years of communications experience from international media, corporate and advocacy communication. She joined EAT in 2017 from Aker ASA, where she served as Head of Investor Relations for five years. Prior to this she had an eight-year career in journalism with Bloomberg, BBC and the Daily Star (Lebanon). Her coverage ranged from Al Qaeda terrorist cells in France to post-conflict reconciliation in Lebanon and the struggle for Greenland’s oil. Marianne was Oslo Bureau Chief for Bloomberg News from 2009-2011. Between 2000-2003 she worked as a consultant on World Bank projects in Latin America and the Middle East and North Africa region, and as a communications associate for the Bank’s External Affairs department.
