Dr Anne Gregory is Professor of Corporate Communication at the University of Huddersfield, former President of the CIPR and a past Chair of the Global Alliance. As well as publishing several books and papers, Professor Gregory works closely with practitioners being an adviser, educator and trainer to the UK Government and the European Commission. Professor Gregory is the Director of the Global Capabilities Framework project, launched at the WPRF in Oslo this week.
Dr Johanna Fawkes is Principal Research Fellow at the University of Huddersfield and lead investigator on the Global Capability Framework project. Following a career in public sector communications, she has led academic and professional public relations courses at universities in the UK and Australia. Johanna is the author of numerous journal articles, chapters and a book on PR ethics. She is a past advisor to the CIPR on educational issues.
As a major highlight of the WPRF 2018, the Global Capabilities Framework will be launched in this session. The Framework is a unique set of capabilities that practitioners of today and the future can benchmark themselves against to identify their current expertise and their future needs. Useful to individuals, employers and the academic community the Global Capabilities Framework is the result of two years extensive research around the globe supported by the Global Alliance and led by the University of Huddersfield in the UK.
