Marisa Toro, an expert in strategic, corporate and consumer communications, has over twenty years experience in the field of corporate communications, public affairs and media relations. About half of her career has developed advising multinational companies in Spain through communication consulting agencies. The rest of her career has been developed in the Grupo Planeta as Director of the communication and institutional relations for the publisher Espasa Calpe and the bookstore chain, Casa del Libro .
In 2010 she joined Google as director of communications and public affairs and is currently leading this function for Southern Europe.
Bachelor of Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid, Marisa has acquired expertise in the areas of communication strategy, corporate diplomacy and crisis management through specialized courses. She has been awarded in the area of consumption by the Complutense University in 1993 for the launch strategy of Tamagotchi by Bandai and received the 2006 Gold Sabre Award for the communication campaign of the 40th Anniversary of los 40 Principales.
